What is Celebrate Summer?

Celebrate Summer is an annual arts, music, food and wine festival held in downtown Marion, Ohio on the fourth Saturday of June.  With over 40 artists coming from far and wide we assure you that you will find a variety of mediums on display.  Bring your children and let them express their creative side in the children's tent.  Enjoy a wine tasting from various Ohio wineries and lunch while listening to one of the many musical acts on the main stage.

Our Mission

Celebrate Summer will be observing its 17th year of operation in 2009.  In those 16 years, our "little" festival has grown from just a few hundred attendees to thousands.  While increasing the crowd size we haven't strayed from our goals.  Celebrate Summer was established in order to expose our community to the many visual and musical arts and more importantly to display the works of our local artists.  We now offer scholarships to our local students to help them continue their pursuit of the arts.

The Celebrate Summer Committee is made up of approximately 20 individuals who represent a wide cross section of our community.  We have representatives from local churches, schools and our universities.  Our committee operates under the umbrellas of Downtown Marion and Marion CAN DO!, both economic development organizations.  We have the support of our local governmental leaders, area Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Marion, and various other arts organizations, Popcorn Festival committee members and from our community at large.  This core group of individuals is helped on the day of the Festival by a cadre of volunteers,  Marion City Police Department, Marion City Fire Department, Civilian Police and the Red Hat Society.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and/or sponsoring at the Celebrate Summer Art, Music and Food Festival please contact us.
